M U S E U M  A A N  H E T  V R I J T H O F   Museum aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht will officially open its doors to become a photography museum this autumn, and Jimmy's exhibition Homage to Humanity will be the opening exhibit from 26 September onwards. Mark your agendas and keep an eye out for more information!   More info       F O T O G R A F I S K A    Last month, we celebrated the opening of Fotografiska Tallinn, where Jimmy's exhibition Homage To Humanity is the world premiere exhibit. The exhibition will be open to visitors until 8 September. Not able to make it to Tallinn? Do not worry, there is much more to come. Jimmy Nelson's exhibition is enhanced by the 2019 WEBBY Award-winning mobile application that opens the behind the scenes world to curious viewers. All the photos of his world premiere exhibition in Tallinn come to life with the help of this app."  - Fotografiska Tallinn   More info      R E C A P       For his newest project, Jimmy and Stephanie have just returned from the north of Kenya where they visited the Samburu who took them into the majestic Ndoro mountain range. Their journey continued to the Turkana and Rendille peoples around Lake Turkana which is the world's largest permanent desert lake, containing Africa's largest population of Nile crocodiles. Oases attract the people and their cattle to settle in small villages.       J I M M Y  N E L S O N   F O U N D A T I O N       At the JNF we believe that education is a powerful tool, but it is a sector in our society that lacks inclusion of cultural diversity. For months, we have been brainstorming about how we can bring the valuable material and information gathered through the foundation's projects and Jimmy Nelson to schools. We have been testing some of our ideas - it works, yet we felt that something was missing. We are happy to share the news that, together with WisMon and TeachVR, we are developing an educational program that is not only informative but also interactive! More info soon.
